All of our private training programs are customized to your specific training goals. The one-on-one format gives your trainer the time and focus to deal with the exact behaviours you want to improve.
We recommend on-site training at our Georgetown facility for the best results. Our training equipment provides confidence-building, mental stimulation, and distractions that simply cannot be recreated in someone's home. The facility has a home-like environment that lets us recreate the situations clients struggle with — counter surfing, begging, door control, and more.
Customizing the training plan also gives you flexibility to teach things that aren't covered in structured classes. Recreating the situations your dog struggles with lets us bake behavioural training right into the program — teaching them how to cope with situations they typically over-react in. By adding behavioural training to our programs, we can achieve dramatic results within 2 weeks if you do your homework.
Our packages are sold by hours of training, not by a fixed number of lessons. You can spend those hours in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions, drawn from your package's allotted time. We've found half-hour lessons work best for most dogs — they stay engaged without getting bored or overtired, which matters especially for younger and reactive dogs.
For clients with previous training who want to work on specific behaviours. Three hours isn't enough to fully train a dog, so this isn't recommended for clients with limited prior training or who don't have control of their dog around distractions. Three hours is, however, enough to tackle specific behavioural issues — crate training, loose-leash walking, or door control. Our trainers and customer service team can help you decide if this option works for your goals.
The right package for clients looking for a good, reliable family dog. The focus is to teach you how to keep your dog happy, hold them accountable to promote good choices, and build a foundation of impulse control, focus, and patience around distractions. These are the minimum requirements to prevent reactivity and other behavioural issues.
This program teaches all the basic obedience commands listed below, plus builds confidence through play and mental stimulation. It also teaches you how to clearly communicate with your dog — improving your handling skills.
Commands: SIT — LEAVE IT — RELEASE — STAY — DOWN — RECALL — HEEL — PLACE (plus more if you're motivated and do your homework).
Recommended for first-time dog owners, new puppies, or clients dealing with aggression or reactivity problems. This package brings your dog to their full potential — basic and intermediate commands, confidence-building with our fitness and training equipment, and mentally stimulating outlets to reduce stress.
Your 10 hours can be spread across up to 20 weeks, so we're with you through the whole transition — from your very first session to the final stages — instead of just handing you the tools and leaving you to work through the end on your own.
The most important part: this gives us time to teach the humans about dog psychology, how to create a fulfilling life for your dog, and how to manage outside influences in society we may not be able to control.
$180/hour flat rate + travel fee dependent on location.
We recommend on-site for the best experience — but in-home training is available for clients who can't come to our location, have mobility issues, or are dealing with behaviours that only happen in the home (counter surfing, separation issues, fence-line reactivity in your specific yard).
